The Role
Account Director – enthusiastic, personable, strong communicator who leads clients and teams across multiple channels to drive ROAS and growth. You interrogate, ask challenging questions, and influence positive change within the agency and clients.
Reporting to a Group Account Director, you manage growth, retention, and high‑revenue multi‑channel accounts. You build client relationships, manage revenue, and execute media knowledge and management skills with deliverable team support.
Core outputs: daily client communication, operations, prioritisation of deliverables, setting expectations, planning campaigns, ensuring business objectives, managing finance processes, contracting, retention, growth, pitch preparation, marketing materials, and client events.
Responsibilities
- Lead the AD pod: Account Managers and Executives, setting clear expectations for service quality.
- Support day‑to‑day operations to maintain high client communication.
- Assess client team capacity, prioritise between clients, and manage cover with Heads of Disciplines.
- Provide strategic direction and recommendations to meet and exceed KPIs.
- Oversee and sign off campaign planning from brief stage onwards.
- Ensure integration and consistency of message across digital disciplines and client agencies.
- Integrate TIPi group activities into the wider marketing mix and other agency relationships.
- Handle finance processes: forecasting, reconciliations, client fees, hours, changes to contract, renewals, and scope of work opportunities.
- Maintain client pod retention and growth, identifying opportunities to involve other departments.
- Play a crucial role in pitch preparation and delivery of new opportunities.
- Develop marketing materials to promote and grow the agency and clients.
- Attend marketing events to prospect new clients.
The Candidate

Ideal qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience within the marketing industry.
- Proven track record of growth through advertising campaigns.
- Strong background in Media Planning (digital and offline), Performance Marketing (SEM, PPC, SEO, Display) or Display.
- Deep digital marketing knowledge and marketing mix theory.
- Autonomous opportunity identification, idea generation, and digital strategy formulation.
- Excellent communication, organisation, presentation, mathematical and analytical mind.
- Elevated English grammar and high attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Leadership and relationship management skills, internal and external client contacts.
- Empathy for client stress and concerns.
- Deadline‑driven and time‑management skills.
- Willingness to learn or contribute beyond specialist experience.
- Track record of developing teams and colleagues.
