We are working with a market-leading international law firm who are looking for an Associate to join their Insurance team within their Belfast office.

Role

The successful candidate will join an accomplished and ever-growing team, engaging in a range of personal injury matters, including defendant product liability, motor, clinical, marine, reinsurance, and professional negligence. The candidate will work across a spectrum of claims, from liability actions from catastrophic claims, public liability, and road traffic accident claims. The candidate will play a key role in supporting both international and domestic insurers in complex insurance litigation matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a range of personal injury matters, including defendant product liability, motor, clinical, marine, reinsurance, and professional negligence.
• Work across a spectrum of claims, from liability actions from catastrophic claims, public liability, and road traffic accident claims.
• Support both international and domestic insurers in complex insurance litigation matters.
• Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to business development while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria

• 1-3 PQE
• Strong background in insurance law
• Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness
• Outstanding academics
• Technically excellent
• Negotiation skills
• Willingness to become involved in business development
• Ability to work independently and as a team
