Responsibilities
- Oversee extensive personal and unincorporated business client portfolios spanning diverse complexity levels and tax situations
- Direct the complete compliance workflow, from document preparation through client advisory meetings to final HMRC submissions
- Execute and review sophisticated compliance assignments while identifying strategic tax planning opportunities for client advancement
- Provide direct line management and professional development support to junior tax practitioners
- Contribute to internal training programs and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and maintain exemplary standards of professional integrity and work quality
- Collaborate across multiple office locations to enhance compliance procedures and leverage cutting-edge tax technology solutions
- Champion tax services throughout the organization and provide technical support to colleagues in other locations
- Support practice leadership and team members with specialized advisory projects, including project scoping, fee estimation, and delivery of comprehensive tax solutions
- Develop and sustain key client relationships and professional networks with third-party advisors
- Facilitate client meetings for complex matters, serving as primary trusted advisor
- Coordinate with other service divisions to ensure integrated client service delivery
- Monitor critical performance indicators including work-in-progress, billing, and collections to maintain profitable operations
- Pursue new business development opportunities within existing relationships and collaborate on new client acquisition initiatives to maximize revenue potential
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- CTA qualification strongly preferred
- Comprehensive personal tax technical expertise with proven advisory experience
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and skill enhancement
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify and advance tax planning strategies with clients
- Established track record managing diverse personal tax client portfolios
- Strong autonomous working capabilities with proven leadership experience
