About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our expanding technical team at Searchability (UK) Ltd. This is a full-time position based onsite in Bradford, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements to promote work-life balance. As a PHP Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain a variety of digital products and web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client specifications and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in PHP development, particularly with Laravel, and experience working on complex projects in fast-paced environments. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise and strong communication skills. Essential qualifications include proven commercial experience with PHP and Laravel frameworks, demonstrating the ability to develop scalable and secure web applications. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js is highly desirable, along with an understanding of TDD and automation testing techniques. Familiarity with GIT version control and RESTful APIs is also required. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and digital products using PHP and Laravel frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Technical Product Manager, designers, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of applications.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes, including TDD and automation techniques.
- Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in web development to continuously improve skills and project outcomes.
