Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing planning policies in line with regional and national guidelines
• Conducting research and data analysis to inform policy decisions
• Engaging with stakeholders, including the public, government bodies, and developers
• Preparing and presenting reports, policy documents, and recommendations
• Monitoring and reviewing existing policies to ensure they remain effective and up-to-date
• Providing expert advice on planning policy matters
• Attending meetings and consultations as required
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure cohesive policy implementation

Job Requirements:

• Experience in planning policy, ideally within the public sector
• Strong understanding of regional and national planning legislation
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a range of audiences
• Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and policy documents
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in planning or a related discipline
• Competitive hourly rate inside IR35
