Platform Engineer | Remote - UK Based | £55,000 - £60,000

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join their growing team. You’ll play a key role in advancing their High Availability & Disaster Recovery capabilities, while also working across virtualised environments, automation, and modern infrastructure technologies.

Overview

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our client’s growing team. You’ll play a key role in advancing their High Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities, while also working across virtualised environments, automation, and modern infrastructure technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop Ansible playbooks for deployment, upgrades, and configuration
  • Advance the organisation’s HA-DR solutions alongside the infrastructure team
  • Support customer-facing teams with infrastructure & HA-DR issues
  • Research and implement new technologies to strengthen platform resilience
  • Contribute to release testing and ongoing product improvements

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong background in Linux systems, Kubernetes, Ansible, and GitHub
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to solving technical challenges

Nice to Have

  • Programming experience in Python or Go
  • Knowledge of Istio, RKE2, Elastic, Vault, or traffic management tools
  • Understanding of data replication, distributed computing, load balancing
