Opticore IT are currently searching for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong experience in scripting with Python and Kubernetes to enable the delivery of network automation to the business. Our client has a newly defined automation framework, and to support this has implemented a Kubernetes, Message Broker, CI/CD pipeline, NoSQL database and log management/analytics solution. This is an initial 6‑month contract opportunity Inside IR35 with the prospect of extension. You will be required to be on site very few times but when required in the Reading area. What you’ll be doing:

Engage and work as part of a SCRUM delivery team. Develop python code to high standards. Work with the architectural function to transform the Automation stack, initially focusing on Kubernetes. Engage and work with highly technical customers.

What you’ll bring:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Experience working within an agile / SCRUM team. Knowledge of strong security principles and implementations. Experience using Grafana and Prometheus. Willing to coach junior members of staff. Eligibility for SC Clearance.
