Overview

Platform Operations Manager at HM Revenue & Customs. You will lead a team of IT Platform Associate Managers (Service Managers) across all aspects of IT Service Management, assuring performance and delivering continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership and management of a team of specialists, coaching and mentoring them to improve their development.
  • All aspects of IT Service Management, including change, incident, problem management and risk management.
  • Performance management of EIS services and platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assisting with the transition of services from on premise to the cloud and bringing services in house in line with the current HMRC CDIO Target Operating Model.
  • Building collaborative and effective working relationships with business partners at all levels.
  • Measuring and managing service and supplier performance, including process improvement.
  • Experience in people management and leading and driving a team across different functions / locations.
  • Experience in Service Level Management including Change Management and the processes involved in managing live services / platforms.
  • Experience in stakeholder / supplier management.
  • Familiarity with Service Now.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to ITIL 4 Foundation (or equivalent).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £56,344. HMRC contributes £16,322 towards Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Flexible and Hybrid Working policies. Generous leave starting at 25 days, increasing to 30 days with service. Pension and other family-friendly policies, personal support, coaching and development.
