A leading global financial services firm is seeking a skilled IT Delivery PMO Analyst to join its IT Governance team. This role will work closely with the Head of IT Delivery Portfolio, providing critical information to support the successful execution of the delivery model and broader strategic objectives. The position involves regular engagement with senior leaders and stakeholders across IT Development, IT Infrastructure, IT Delivery Portfolio, and IT Governance, as well as occasional collaboration with teams beyond these functions. This is a pivotal role requiring strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset to effectively support the Head of IT Delivery Portfolio. It offers broad exposure across the MBC IT landscape and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and high-performing environment.

The PMO Analyst Role

You will be responsible for the timely delivery of reports, presentation materials, management packs, KPIs, and other required data. Additionally, the role involves developing and continuously enhancing reporting processes, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency improvements. The role involves the creation of insightful Power BI reports, drawing primarily from JIRA data, as well as other relevant sources. You will be responsible for preparing clear and concise slide decks that highlight key data points, KPIs, and other business-critical information. A key part of the role includes supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of the IT Portfolio Book of Work, ensuring that it remains up to date and reflective of current project activity.

You will work closely with IT Delivery Teams to produce regular and accurate reporting for the Head of IT Delivery Portfolio. In addition, you will assist the Head of IT Delivery Portfolio in various aspects of Agile delivery, including reporting, progress tracking, portfolio summaries, and handling ad hoc requests. The role also includes gathering high-level RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) logs and key performance indicators across multiple projects. A strong analytical focus is required to identify trends, detect anomalies, and produce reporting that provides clear insights into findings.

Paying up to £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Closest station is St. Paul’s

Hybrid working. 3 days per week in the office

Tech: Power BI and JIRA

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience using MS Power BI (including familiarity with DAX), using slicer, drilldowns and other functionality the tool provides
  • Proven use of JIRA, understanding how it fits into software development/process and also familiarity with its data model
  • Able to demonstrate a background/understanding of software project implementation (using iterative/agile methods such as Kanban)
  • Experience supporting Agile project delivery such as Kanban (Scrum/other frameworks)
  • Prior experience in a PMO function/area
  • Proactive, self-sufficient and driven with a hands-on ‘can do’ positive attitude with collaboration front and centre to their approach to work
  • Attention to detail, analytical, organised, methodical/structured approach to tasks/objectives

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Worked in a Financial Markets organisation, specifically within a trading line of business
  • Knowledge of JIRA’s data model
  • MS Power Point
