Political Scientist role at Mercor. Contract, Remote. Commitment: 20–30 hours per week. Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate political reasoning produced by AI models for bias or ideological assumptions.
  • Guide development of politically neutral frameworks for sensitive issues.
  • Offer structured feedback to align AI outputs with evidence-based analysis.
  • Collaborate with researchers to ensure models reason clearly across political spectrums.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must-Have Qualifications
  • Mastery of critical thinking, logical reasoning, and source evaluation.
  • Comfort in controversial or ideologically diverse contexts.
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Intellectual integrity prioritizing truth over trend.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Contrarian intellectuals with data-backed clarity.
  • PhDs in social sciences (political science, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy).
  • Historians, anthropologists, or scholars of political systems and ideologies.
  • Independent writers or thinkers with skills in dissecting bias.
