Location: UK Wide (Remote / Hybrid options)
The UK’s net zero goals hinge on how effectively new renewable generation can be connected to the grid. We’re supporting a client who is searching for an experienced Grid / Power Systems Engineer to take a lead role in delivering secure, efficient and compliant grid connections for renewable energy and storage projects.
Role summary
This role will involve leading technical work to secure grid connections and ensure compliant, reliable integration of renewable energy and storage projects into the power system.
Responsibilities
- Conduct grid impact studies, load flow and protection analysis.
- Work closely with DNOs/NGESO on connection applications and compliance.
- Design HV/MV solutions, substations and cable systems.
- Provide technical leadership across multi-disciplinary project teams.
Qualifications & requirements
- 5+ years in power systems / grid engineering.
- Hands-on experience with DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP or similar.
- Solid knowledge of UK Grid Code and connection processes.
- Strong communication skills, able to bridge technical and commercial teams.
