Do you know timber like the back of your hand and have a talent for project management? Are you ready to create solutions that impress clients and deliver on time? If so, we’re looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Off-Site Solutions division.
You’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of construction with timber!
By embracing a range of technologies and innovations, Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions can provide the right solution for construction projects. As well as being manufacturers of high-quality products and building systems, we also offer expertise in design, logistics, supply chain, and sourcing, delivered through a partnership approach through our specialist brands.
The role is home-based with regular travel to our offices and client sites across Scotland (ideally you’ll be based within the Central Belt)
What you will be doing:
- Acting as the key interface between clients and Off-Site Solutions, ensuring that all architectural drawings, details, and technical specifications are accurately communicated to the design team.
- Ensuring timely, clear, and concise information transfer between the client and the internal design office prior to a Design Office Handover.
- Resolve technical queries prior to the commencement of design to avoid delays and misunderstandings during the production phase.
- Monitor and control the project plan, ensuring all activities are tracked, updated, and communicated effectively to relevant parties.
What We’re Looking For:
- Technical Expertise in Timber: Strong knowledge of Offsite Manufacture, pre-construction processes, and architectural design.
- Project Management: Proficient in planning, coordinating, and controlling front-end activities, ensuring efficient information flow and timely project execution.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for managing client relationships and ensuring clear information transfer between departments.
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve technical queries effectively and efficiently, preventing delays or complications during the design and production phases.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that client needs are met and project requirements are communicated clearly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HSEQ regulations and CDM guidelines related to construction.
