Job Purpose:
The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant plays a key role in shaping bespoke Networking, Cloud, and Server Infrastructure solutions for both new and existing customers. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, they support the sales process by identifying customer requirements, designing tailored solutions, and clearly articulating the value of our technology portfolio to both technical and business stakeholders. This role bridges the gap between commercial and technical teams, ensuring solutions are both innovative and achievable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend meetings with prospective and existing customers to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all required information is collated prior to producing a solution.
- Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes, seeking guidance from the technical teams on best practice and suitability.
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally.
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to Business Development Managers, Account Managers & channel partners.
- Create design configuration documentation, based on proposed solutions, including network diagrams and technical design.
- Work with the Product Team to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products.
- Meet individual and team KPI’s in relation to deal closure where pre-sales involvement has been provided.
Skills & Experience:
- From a relevant technical background, ideally within an MSP environment such as third line support, project management or technical delivery.
- A solid understanding of core product sets including M365, Azure, AVD, Windows Server and associated storage/hardware solutions, Networking Solutions including HPE, Meraki and Sonicwall.
- Experience in designing and implanting technical solutions in SME to Enterprise businesses.
- Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly.
- Full drivers licence and willingness to travel through sales territory.
- Experience in running bid-teams for enterprise deals.
- Experience in producing high quality commercial proposals including design, solution overview and pricing.
- Broad understanding of WAN, SD WAN and VOIP technologies.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Network Technology.
