OverviewPrincipal / Associate - Digital Infrastructure Design EngineerWSP is looking for Principal Engineers and Associates to join our Digital industry-leading Intelligent Infrastructure team. We are expanding our Digital Infrastructure Design Capability across all areas and are actively seeking individuals to join our team who have a strong enthusiasm for digital technologies and digital design methodologies. It is crucial to us that our team members question traditional design practices, challenge the status quo, and conceive innovative solutions to enhance our design and delivery processes.If you have an interest in design and enjoy seeing your work implemented on the roadside, and if you aim to innovate in digital design production, then WSP Intelligent Infrastructure is the team for you.ResponsibilitiesLead infrastructure design schemes at both discipline and multi-discipline levels (dependent on grade) using experience in roadside infrastructure design.Collaborate effectively with the team, lead problem-solving efforts, provide support and address gaps as necessary.Be accountable for the quality of outputs from the team, ensuring they meet high expectations.Engage with clients, navigate client needs in line with corporate responsibilities, and escalate issues to senior staff when appropriate.What We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateA degree in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards professional registration with an accredited institute.SkillsPossess domain knowledge in a relevant industry (power, communications, electrical, electronics, highway design).Lead design processes, including the use of design tools.Lead a team in delivering designs or schemes.Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines and understand their basic principles.Collaborate successfully with clients and manage their expectations.Undertake the role of lead engineer to take a scheme from inception to handover with the client.Motivate, develop and lead junior team members, encouraging growth and performance.Problem-solve and be self-motivated when undertaking tasks with minimal peer support.Don’t quite meet all the criteria?
