I’m recruiting on behalf of a leading design & build contractor with a strong track record in the UK water sector. They’ve just secured a major long-term framework with Severn Trent, and we’re looking to bring in a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to support delivery from their Derby office.

The Role

You’ll be a key part of the regional civils team, leading and delivering design packages for water and wastewater treatment projects. Responsibilities include:

1. Producing and overseeing civil designs that are practical, cost-effective, and buildable
2. Coordinating across internal and external design disciplines
3. Supporting proposal teams with technical input and design estimates
4. Developing and maintaining design standards and processes
5. Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, health & safety, and environmental regulations
6. Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
7. Contributing to a positive, client-focused culture

What They’re Looking For

Key experience:

• Strong background in civil/infrastructure design
• Sector experience in water, highways, energy, rail, or similar
• Solid knowledge of structures, hydraulics, materials, ...
