Job Title: Principal Electrical Power Engineer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment.
- Authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
- Managing associated technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines.
- Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems.
- Taking a leading role by guiding more junior team members through the systems definition process.
- Opportunities to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including BAE, customer, and supplier sites.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
- Engineering Chartership required (or significant progress towards Chartership).
- Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Permanent Magnet Motors/Generators.

The Steam Integrated Design Team (IDT):
As a Principal Electrical Power Engineer, you will be part of a new team working on innovative technologies for the British Navy, focusing on Turbo Generators. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility.
