A leading, employee-owned engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join their expanding team based in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chartered Engineer to take the next step in their career within a progressive and people-focused organisation.

The Role

This is a senior-level position offering clear progression to senior management or Director level. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate structural engineering projects across various sectors, lead teams of engineers and technicians, and act as a key contact for clients and stakeholders.

You will be expected to combine strong technical ability with leadership, project delivery, and mentoring skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver structural engineering projects from concept through to completion
Lead, mentor, and coordinate project teams
Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Apply expert knowledge in structural design and construction
Oversee and ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met

Requirements

Chartered Engineer (IStructE or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ post-chartered experience
Proven project management skills in a consultancy environment
Proficient in structural design software (e.g. TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, CADS, P Frame)
Excellent communication and leadership qualities
Full UK driving licence
