New Vacancy – Procurement Manager

Location: Northampton, NN1 (Hybrid)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £46,000 to £56,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, full time

About the Role

• Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with the University’s goals.
• Oversee high-risk procurement activities and tenders, ensuring compliance and best value.
• Lead the procurement team, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Represent the University in external purchasing consortia and procurement groups.
• Manage the procurement of insurance policies and mitigate institutional risks.

Skills & Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to deliver savings through procurement initiatives
• Experience managing large-value tenders
