As part of our continued expansion across Europe, Samsung Networks is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Manager to oversee procurement activities related to its operations in Europe. You will manage and oversee the product and service procurement activities, ensuring Samsung receives competitive pricing and terms that enable it to be cost competitive in the market.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who can demonstrate a consistent track record in procurement within the IT and telecommunications industries and has extensive experience in bringing value.

This role will be based in the UK but will require travel to other EU locations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for local/regional sourcing of products and services aligned with Samsung Networks' strategic goals or commercial opportunities.
• Engage with and manage our partner organizations, including all subcontractors supporting Samsung in network delivery and support.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with supplier organizations up to CxO level to maximize opportunities and growth.
• Monitor supplier performance and develop frameworks for performance assessment and improvement.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with SNE’s service, solution, and contract management teams.
• Align procurement strategies with service and product strategy outputs.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and documentation processes.
• Support the Head of Commercial and Procurement in contract management and flow-downs from customer to supplier contracts.

What we need for this role

Skills and attributes include:

Hard Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in procurement management in telecom networks or IT sector
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Numerate with good report writing skills
• Availability for business travel

Soft Skills:

• Negotiation, influence, and presentation skills
• Strong communication and planning skills
• Existing contacts within European subcontractors and vendors
• Ability to manage procurement processes end-to-end under tight deadlines
• Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and team-oriented
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a virtual environment

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in network or IT procurement
• Knowledge of 4G/5G technologies, vRAN, virtualization
• Understanding of operational and financial risk issues
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and leverage team expertise

• Manage supplier base and performance, including negotiations and legal involvement
• Manage supplier selection processes
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Conduct supplier reviews, risk assessments, and market analysis
• Drive cost management initiatives and report on savings
• Ensure procurement decisions involve key partners
• Manage RFx activities and procurement processes
• Develop and oversee procurement procedures
• Provide internal reports on progress, risks, and milestones
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to contractual standards
