Summary
Job title: Product Manager (Production Software) (f/m/d)
Location: Europe and UK (Remote)
Short description: We are looking for a Product Manager (f/m/d) to lead the evolution of DESIGNER, Hexagon’s CAD platform at the core of our Production Software portfolio. DESIGNER is more than a CAD-for-CAM tool—it provides the foundation for CAD-enabled applications across manufacturing, including sheet metal fabrication and additive manufacturing. As the gateway to Nexus, Hexagon’s cloud platform, DESIGNER enables desktop interaction with AI-driven tools (e.g., CoPilot, ProPlanAI). As Product Manager, you will drive the product’s strategy and roadmap to positioning DESIGNER as a modern, AI-ready solution that delivers powerful, flexible modelling capabilities and consistency across multiple production workflows.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product vision for DESIGNER as a CAD platform supporting CAM, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing.
- Own and prioritize the roadmap, focusing on modelling capabilities, usability, automation, and integration readiness with Nexus AI tools.
- Gather insights from customers, partners, and competitors to identify opportunities where DESIGNER adds value as a core enabler of downstream applications.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers, R&D, and fellow Product Managers to evolve DESIGNER in line with integrated manufacturing needs (e.g., CAM, bending, build prep, cloud HUB).
- Define KPIs, monitor adoption across internal and external users, and ensure DESIGNER delivers as a strategic asset within Hexagon’s portfolio.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a closely related manufacturing discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management or technical product roles within CAD/CAM/CAE software.
- Strong familiarity with CAD platforms used in manufacturing applications.
Skills & Attributes
- Experience working in agile environments (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Strategic thinker with a practical, execution-focused mindset.
- Strong communicator across both technical and business stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for design technology and its role in enabling smart manufacturing.
- Professional-level English (negotiation-ready); additional European languages are a plus.
What we offer
- The opportunity to shape the future of a key CAD platform powering Hexagon’s manufacturing solutions.
- A strategic role with global visibility, where your work directly influences how industries adopt smart manufacturing.
- Career growth in an international environment, working with experts across CAD, CAM, and manufacturing processes.
- The chance to drive AI-enabled capabilities at the intersection of desktop and cloud, ensuring DESIGNER plays a central role in Hexagon’s digital manufacturing journey.
- A diverse, inclusive workplace committed to your professional development and long-term success.
