Product Manager
50 Days Old
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (with flexi-time and hybrid working options).
Salary: Subject to experience.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This is an exciting role for anyone wanting to work at the heart of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole’s most successful Digital agency. The right candidate will have a background in Business Analysis or Product Ownership, including an in-depth technical knowledge of web-based applications, hands-on experience of complex integration projects and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
As a Product Manager you’ll join our Solutions Team and report to our Solutions Director, Phil. Your main responsibility is to maximise the value we deliver to clients, both for one-off projects and ongoing programs. You’ll do this by drawing on our expert team of Account Directors, Program Directors, UX Designers, Technical Architects and Data Scientists to identify the right problems to solve, envision a range of possible solutions and, ultimately, help decide what should be built.
Secondly, you’ll minimise risk by working hand-in-hand with our in-house development team, Program Managers and QA Analysts to reinforce common understanding of our solutions and coordinate the early and iterative delivery of the most valuable features.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading cross-functional requirements capture sessions with client stakeholders including marketing, IT and senior management.
- Ownership and management of solution scope through the Functional Specification, including User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, and regular Release Notes.
- Facilitation of regular release standups and planning sessions, supporting the development team’s day-to-day activities by communicating priorities and addressing blockers.
- Contribute to prospect and existing client sales processes, developing roadmaps, securing ballparks, writing proposals and attending pitch presentations.
- Support QA & testing activity by validating internal and external test plans and their results.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Analytical and methodical mindset, able to distil complex subjects into clear, non-technical explanations and be the first to draw attention to important areas of risk or uncertainty.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
