Duration: 3-Months + Possible Extension

Rates: £700 - £775 Daily Rate D.O.E Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, delivery and implementation of the Connections Reform Transformation Programme, implementing strategic industry reforms to the connections process and embedding a new way of working across the clients business unit.
  • Programme manage the industry led changes approved by Ofgem in April 2025, with a focus on immediate requirements related to the connections reform.
  • Provide leadership in your area of expertise, with strong subject matter knowledge, to plan and implement the transformation of industry reform in connection offers and connections contract delivery across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Navigate multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of all project activities related to current and anticipated ongoing industry reform, incorporating decisions from external industry workgroups and internal workgroups.
  • Manage the overall programme of work, including multiple workstreams with simultaneous execution, applying core project management disciplines and operating with pace and agility in a changing external environment.
  • Matrix-manage internal subject matter contributors from across the Transmission business to ensure effective delivery of connections reform in collaboration with external stakeholders (e.g., National Electricity System Operator, other Network Operators, Ofgem, and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero).

Qualifications / Experience

  • Deep expertise in project management disciplines and the ability to work with pace in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing large, multi-stakeholder programmes across a matrix organisation.
  • Experience working with industry reform initiatives and regulatory bodies (e.g., Ofgem) is desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to achieve programme goals and support net zero objectives.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and deliver on commitments within tight deadlines.
  • Relevant security clearances and right-to-work status as specified (BPSS, DBS/DS, Financial Probity, etc.).
