Overview
As a Project Manager reporting directly to the Dogger Bank Project Director, you will take charge of managing project business operations with a strategic focus on cost control, earned value management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, you will enhance delivery schedules, reduce project costs, and lead risk management processes to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Control: Oversee a $1B+ offshore wind project, ensuring effective coordination across planning, contracts, finance, sourcing, OEM functions, and project teams.
- Performance Analysis: Develop scientific solutions to drive profitability and cash flow while minimizing project risks.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership within the Offshore Wind organization to implement effective project business operation tools and processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Project Contract Manager, Lead Planner, Finance Manager, and Package Managers for strategic management of forecasting, cost control, risk management, scheduling, and change management.
- Develop actionable plans for revenue recognition, milestone payments, and cash flow optimization.
- Ensure systematic operational coordination and controls to improve project delivery and financial outcomes.
- Lead the project risk management process, including risk identification, mitigation, and opportunity enhancement.
- Analyze project performance using earned value management to forecast project outcomes accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus five years or more of project business operations and project controls experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver\'s license and ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in energy, wind, or oil & gas projects.
- Experience managing large, complex projects ($1B+).
- Willingness to travel internationally and engage with global teams and supply chains.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Certification in Cost Control (CCC/CCE) or Scheduling (PSP) is advantageous.
