Why Saltus?
Our mission is to improve everyone’s relationship with their wealth: to make it a positive force for their future and at the same time to prevent it being a source of anxiety. We have a number of offices in the South of England including London, Whiteley and Farnham.
We are incredibly proud of our culture and work really hard to ensure that Saltus is a great place to work for our people, where they can have fun and grow in their career, with a passion for excellence and customer service.
We're proud that we've been recognized as a winner by the Sunday Times in the Best Places to Work 2024 awards, as well as a winner in the Professional Adviser awards 2024 for the Best Financial Advisers to Work For. These accolades reflect our commitment to creating an exceptional work environment and our dedication to excellence in the financial industry. Saltus is a privately owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions.
Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.
Today Saltus manages and advises on over £9 billion of client assets, acquired through a combination of organic business growth and corporate acquisitions.
Role and responsibilities
The Project Manager will lead the planning, management, and execution of strategic projects and initiatives that drive the company’s growth objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders across the business to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining the company’s standards for quality and risk management.
The role is responsible for:
- Developing comprehensive project plans that clearly outline scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating regulatory, compliance, operational, and project risks and issues, applying appropriate escalation processes as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and senior management, delivering regular updates on progress, risks, potential impacts, and project changes to enable smooth transitions, while highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended next steps.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Financial Planners, Investment Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology to ensure alignment and project support.
- Supporting change management initiatives by coordinating communications and stakeholder engagement to ensure adoption and minimise resistance.
- Ensuring all project activities comply with FCA and other relevant regulatory requirements, including maintaining appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork within project teams.
- Continuously assessing and improving project management processes and methodologies while providing guidance and mentorship to project team members.
Essential attributes the successful candidate should possess
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within financial services, preferably in wealth management, investment management, or a similar sector.
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and familiarity with agile methodologies are highly desirable.
- Experience in change management and familiarity with change management frameworks and tools. This would be a significant advantage given the transformational nature of the projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with project management tools and software.
- Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences, influence stakeholders at all organisational levels, and build successful professional relationships both internally and externally.
- Self-motivated with exceptional time management skills, able to organise workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and work autonomously to meet objectives and deadlines under pressure.
