AWE is looking for a P6 Proficient Project Planner to support its delivery of the Replacement Warhead Programme within Conventional Re-kits.
Salary range: £38,000 to £48,000
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke - onsite requirement is 2-3 days
Introducing The Role:
We use P6 at AWE so proficiency with this is really important. As a Project Planner will need to engage with and present schedule analysis to our Project Manager’s in order to support project planning capability. You will be responsible for maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule, checking schedule integrity, providing network analysis and Earned Value Management.
Your Day Could Look Like This:
- Creating the Work breakdown structure, Resource loading, Project level IMS (Integrated Master Schedule), and Project-specific basis of scheduling documents
- Input into the month-end process including: updating schedule progress, undertaking schedule forecasting, updating milestone status and critical path analysis
- Undertaking schedule performance review including EV variance analysis
- Providing Planning input to Change control process, Risk and Opportunity process, and Peer reviews
- Producing Planning and EV deliverables
- Addressing schedule performance issues
- Development, integration, and analysis of project plans
- Must have Civils EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) experience
- Best practice planning processes and tools
- Confidence modelling processes and techniques
- An analytical approach along with proficiency with interpreting charts and spreadsheets
- Genuine passion for project delivery - you want to challenge and ask questions to ensure successful delivery

- Our interviews are about 90 minutes on TEAMs during working hours and may include a presentation
- P6 proficiency will be tested as part of your recruitment journey
