Overview

We’re looking for a talented Commercial Energy Associate (1–4 PQE) to join a leading Energy & Regulated Industries team in London.

Energy is one of the most dynamic and high-profile sectors in the UK, providing lawyers with the chance to work on complex, impactful projects that shape the economy and political agenda. You’ll be advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts (from long-term power purchase agreements to multi-party industry codes) and supporting on major energy transactions—including project development, financing, and sales. Our clients span governments, regulators, utilities, developers, suppliers, and corporates, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships across the sector. This is a collaborative, non-hierarchical team that combines commercial and regulatory expertise. You’ll have direct client exposure, plenty of responsibility, and support to grow your career in one of the UK’s top-ranked energy practices.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in commercial contracts (essential)
  • Familiar with the energy sector (desirable)
  • Strong in research and confident in delivering clear, pragmatic written advice
  • Client-focused, commercially minded, and keen to learn
