About the Opportunity

Our Safety Case Engineers are at the forefront of ground‑breaking projects, working hand‑in‑hand across the civil nuclear and defence sectors, both in the UK and on a global stage. From next‑generation systems and emerging reactor technologies, like SMRs, to ensuring the safe operation of existing nuclear facilities, we cover the full spectrum of the nuclear lifecycle.
Required Skills and Experience
- Fault and event tree analysis
- Quantified risk and reliability assessments
- Reliability data assessment
- Hazard identification assessments
- Internal and external hazard evaluation, including dedicated Hazard PSA assessments (e.g., seismic, fire and flood)
- Statistical risk modelling
- System dependency analysis

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients to understand their challenges and develop solutions.
- Represent the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
- Help maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentor junior team members, where appropriate.
Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
- Experience executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards Chartered or Incorporated status.
- Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
