Public Relations Senior Account Executive

Senior Account Executives serve as the day-to-day contact for clients and the media, driving media monitoring, outreach, and coverage. In this role, you will manage a small team of Account Executives and PR Assistants, report directly to senior leadership, and help clients gain consistent media exposure. Candidates should have 3–5 years of agency or in‑house PR experience, preferably working with finance, technology, or web3 companies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with media.
  • Monitor and identify strategic news opportunities for clients.
  • Secure consistent media coverage across various formats.
  • Ensure weekly tasks meet pre-defined goals for each client account.
  • Contribute to strategy and narrative development for client campaigns alongside Account Managers.
  • Maintain rapport with client spokespeople and executive leadership.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members, enforcing company standards and quality of work.

Qualifications

  • College graduate, preferably in communications, political science, or journalism.
  • 3–5 years of PR and communications experience (agency or in‑house) with finance or cryptocurrency clients.
  • Strong media relationships and references.
  • Proven ability to write press releases, briefing documents, boilerplates, and other standard press materials.
  • Deep understanding of media types and formats.
  • Track record of securing media coverage.
  • Excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of technology or finance, or both.

Skills

  • Writing: news‑writing with AP style, copy for newsletters, proposals, and press materials.
  • Research: proficiency in Google, ChatGPT, MuckRack.
  • Tech: Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Management: time, team, and project leadership.
  • Communications: listening, presenting, and conversational.
  • Resourcefulness & creativity: think outside the box.

Requirements

  • Three writing samples: press release, media pitch, and Op‑Ed.
  • Three media references with name and outlet.
  • Completion of assessment assignment(s).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: £52,000–67,000 annually (base).
  • Pension plan.
  • Flexible PTO.
