Quality Assurance Manager

2 Days Old

About the role

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is at the heart of energy in the UK. The electricity we provide gets the nation to work, powers schools and brings energy to life. Our energy network connects the nation, so it’s essential that it’s continually evolving, advancing, and improving. In NGET we are passionate about both operating our network safely and providing highly reliable quality of supply for our customers.

As Quality Manager you’ll develop, implement and maintain an effective ISO internal audit programme for the integrated management system and work with the business to ensure that NGET’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets the requirements of ISO 9001. You’ll support the business to help develop a culture of quality and customer focus throughout the organisation, establishing and implementing an effective Supplier Quality Assurance Strategy for NGET

Key Accountabilities

We’re flexible on where you are based but there will be a need to travel to Warwick for meetings on a fairly regular basis, as well as travel to site as and when required.

What you'll need

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience of implementing and managing ISO9001 across a large-scale organisation in compliance with IS0 9001 to achieve certification.

You’ll need a detailed understanding of the wider NGET business, and the quality challenges relating to it, along with Quality Assurance and Internal Audit experience.

Resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues, you’ll have the ability to think of innovative new ways in which to engage the business.

You’ll be experienced in managing supplier quality assurance activities and proving pre and post contract procurement quality support for goods, services and materials supplied to NGET.

Degree level qualified, or with significant relevant business quality experience, you’ll have a Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) qualification and ideally be a member of Chartered Quality Institute.

What's in it for you?
