Overview
We’re QFactorial, a boutique Quality & Sustainability Consultancy based in the South of England. We work with SMEs and start-ups, helping them make sense of their business needs, stakeholder expectations, and growth ambitions. Whether it’s guiding a company through its first ISO certification, shaping a practical sustainability strategy, or creating a tailored blend of both, we specialise in cutting through the noise and building solutions that fit.
Join us as a Quality & Sustainability Consultant
We’re looking for a full-time consultant to join our in-house team. This is a client-facing role, with most of your week spent working directly with businesses on their quality and sustainability journeys. Some days you’ll be helping an organisation prepare for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or something more exotic. Other days you’ll be supporting them to put in place realistic frameworks or tackle specific challenges. Variety is guaranteed.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with client organisations on their quality and sustainability journeys (client-facing role).
- Assist with preparing for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or equivalent standards.
- Help design and implement practical frameworks and address specific client challenges.
- Collaborate with a small team in a flexible, multi-client environment.
Qualifications
- A quality management professional with experience in a variety of ISO standards (especially ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
- Ability to support sustainability initiatives and grow that expertise further.
- A “small business mindset”: comfortable juggling multiple clients and projects, and used to working flexibly.
- Tech-savvy, proficient with common business tools and quick to pick up new systems.
- Adaptable, creative and with an aversion to overly corporate environments.
- Driven to be more than ‘just a consultant’ but a Q!Ambassador.
- Based in South Central England, available for a weekly in-person meeting in Basingstoke.
- Humour-driven and able to engage colleagues and clients effectively.
Benefits
- Salary £30,000–£50,000, depending on skills and experience.
- Permanent, full-time role in a supportive, close-knit team.
- Flexible working arrangements, mixing home-based work, client visits, and team meet-ups.
- Opportunities for learning, development, and building new specialisms in both quality and sustainability.
- A workplace where your input matters and your ideas are put into action.
- The chance to work within an ISO 9001 certified business on its journey towards B Corp certification.
