We have an exciting opportunity for a Query Resolution Clerk to join our remote team. You will be responsible for the management of insurer queries for our business. You will investigate the insurer query to identify what remedial actions would lead to their resolution.
Overview
What you will do as a Query Resolution Clerk
Resolve Insurer Reconciliation Queries and work through to settlement or prepare for settlement.
Actively manage query workload, referring to Business and Insurer where required, within a timely manner.
Apply proactive Aged Insurer Queries controls to ensure unflagged queries are resolved within a 90-day timescale.
Triage ad-hoc requests from insurers and ensure the Query Management team prioritises queries in line with deadlines and expectations with insurers.
Escalate issues where necessary to Business Principals and the Query Management team.
Communicate and build relationships with IBA teams and with the Insurance Broking Businesses and Advisory Business Operations.
Complete training and assessment exercises as assigned by Compliance and Training Department.
Fulfils responsibilities in line with agreed processes to achieve objectives and ensure compliance with client and insurer money rules within the FCA Handbook.
Investigate root causes for queries to help improve processes and prevent recurrence where applicable.
Support root cause analysis specific to query type, insurer and business unit for process improvement.
Lead on reducing insurer total query flow where appropriate.
Liaise with internal Towergate teams to communicate insurer concerns and provide timely information to address issues.
Qualifications and skills
Experience in an insurer, broking or IBA environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Initiative, proactivity, inquisitive approach and resourcefulness.
Adaptability and positive response to change.
Analytical and investigative skills with logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain integrity when dealing with complex issues.
Flexible working practices, priorities and hours to meet business demands.
Microsoft Excel skills to an intermediate level (lookups and pivots) – desirable.
