The Role

As an Innovations Tax Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of R&D tax relief claims for a diverse client base, from high-growth SMEs to PE-backed enterprises. You’ll be hands-on in shaping client engagements, managing projects end-to-end, and providing commercially focused advice that unlocks real value.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading R&D tax relief claims and managing client relationships
  • Gathering and assessing technical and financial data to determine eligibility
  • Coordinating internal teams and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
  • Advising clients on planning opportunities and legislative changes
  • Supporting business development and mentoring junior colleagues

About you

You’re a confident communicator with a knack for simplifying complex tax and technical matters. Whether you come from a tax/accounting background (CTA, ACA, ACCA) or have technical experience in STEM or commercial R&D, you bring a solid understanding of UK innovation incentives and a passion for helping clients succeed.
