In this role, you will leverage your comprehensive understanding of our diverse product offerings while leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing Business Development team. Additionally, you will act as the senior sponsor, maintaining and overseeing key relationships with external intermediaries. About the role
- Understand the external Pensions and Savings environment to identify and secure profitable new business opportunities.
- Enhance engagement with advisers and leverage market insights to drive business growth and retention.
- Lead and coach the team effectively, promoting continuous improvement to meet competency standards and commercial objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies
About you
- Deep understanding of the competitive landscape to ensure Royal London remains a 'partner-of-choice' and identify new relationship opportunities.
- Strategic panel development with a long-term outlook.
- Excellent knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices discussed during adviser firm visits.
- Experience leading a high-performing Business Development team in Financial Services.
- Ability to coach and develop a team through face-to-face interactions and observations.
- Confidence to make ambitious and necessary decisions managing business risk.
- Proven ability to lead strategic discussions and address key business challenges.
- Effective leadership, facilitation, and building team skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services and industry challenges.
- Good understanding of the regulatory framework
- Progress toward Level 4 qualification or working towards it.
