Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Job Purpose

To lead, coordinate and manage the centralised parts operation across the Retail operations sites, Cinch stores and Mobile repair network, ensuring efficient inventory control, optimal parts availability, cost-effective procurement, and excellent support to retail sites and workshop operations. This role is pivotal in maximising profitability, improving supply chain performance, and delivering exceptional internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parts teams and operations, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely supply of parts to Retail Op’s sites, Repair Network and Cinch stores
  • Develop and maintain an effective inventory management strategy, minimising obsolete stock and ensuring correct stock levels to maintain production
  • Monitor parts usage, trends, and performance across the business to forecast demand accurately and support service efficiency
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing & terms
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems
  • Provide reporting and analysis on stock turns, order fulfilment rates, aged stock, and budget performance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental standards
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with site managers and other internal stakeholders
  • Manage a team including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and reduce operational costs
  • Regular travel to sites based around the UK, for audits, meetings and staff performance reviews
  • Become a liaison between the business and IT departments giving feedback and development ideas with current systems
  • Work with group procurement to identify a wider supplier base to optimise the parts offering into the business

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior parts management role, ideally in a multi-site or centralised automotive environment
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts supply chain, logistics, and inventory control processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make commercially sound decisions
  • Experience with Dealer Management or bespoke Systems
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Capable of building strong relationships across departments and with external suppliers
  • Results-driven with a track record of delivering operational efficiencies and profitability improvements

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Vehicle Parts Operations
  • Management training or similar qualifications
  • Automotive manufacturer training
