We are looking for a Regulatory Toxicologist to join a global chemicals company. Working with other toxicologists, you will play a vital role within the regulatory affairs function by providing toxicological support to the registration and notification of new and existing global products. The products are highly regulated and the chemistry is very complex – an excellent toxicological and regulatory challenge!

You will join a multi-disciplinary team providing regulatory support to the global business; the toxicologists provide specialist toxicology support; this will involve assessing and summarising toxicology and ecotoxicology studies and data, preparing dossiers, conducting classifications and risk assessments, setting up and monitoring studies with CRO s, monitoring global regulatory and toxicology related developments and providing toxicology advice and expertise to the business. Most products are subject to global notifications and registrations; alot of your work will involve preparing toxicological reports and data to support this. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity within a global organisation. The role is very broad based offering you exposure to all aspects of industrial regulatory toxicology – the training programme is second to none – a great career move!

Suitable candidates are likely to have an MSc in Toxicology, a good understanding of organic chemistry and industrial experience in toxicology or regulatory affairs in the chemicals sector. Specific experience of preparing regulatory dossiers would be ideal. Knowledge of REACH would be advantageous but not essential; a strong interest in regulatory affairs and toxicology is critical. You must be a good communicator, be able to multi-task with a complex and dynamic workload, be a good team worker with a cooperative approach and you must have the ability to be trained.
