The Liu's lab within the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences wishes to appoint a laboratory-based Research Associate to an exciting project funded by the British Heart Foundation, exploring the 'Ability of FGFR1/KLB to prevent cardiac microvascular impairment and pathological remodelling in response to metabolic stress'.
We are recruiting highly motivated staff with a PhD degree (or expected to receive a PhD) and extensive experience in Cardiac Physiology, Molecular Biology, animal work, and manuscript preparation. During this position, the post-holder will undertake a range of activities, including:
- Animal work, functional studies, particularly cardiac function assessments
- Gene engineering
- In vitro work, including cell culture, cardiomyocyte isolation, and human iPSC-CMs culture
