We're looking for a strategic and highly skilled person to join our Research Ethics and Governance team at Manchester Met University . In this pivotal role, you'll ensure compliance with the Concordat for Research Integrity and other governance frameworks, working closely with senior leaders to uphold the highest standards of integrity across our research community .
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the development and delivery of research ethics and governance policies.
- Provide expert guidance to staff and students on ethical approvals, informed consent, data management, and government security frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with the Human Tissue Act, NHS ethics processes, and funding body requirements.
- Deliver engaging training sessions for researchers at all levels.
- Drive continuous improvement through audits, policy reviews, and sector engagement.
What we're looking for:
- Extensive knowledge of research ethics and governance issues in the higher education context.
- Experience of shaping policy and managing compliance processes.
- Confidence in influencing senior stakeholders and building sector-wide networks.
- A passion for enabling responsible, inclusive, and impactful research.
