Overview
Reservoir Regulation Team Compliance and Monitoring Officer - 31871. We are the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England, ensuring the safe operation and management of dams. The role supports regulatory responsibilities within the Compliance and Monitoring team of the Reservoir Regulation team in the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate.
Responsibilities
- Help deliver our operational regulatory duties for the 2140 reservoirs in England, including making risk designations and monitoring for compliance with on-site flood plan requirements.
- Take a risk-based approach and communicate clearly and consistently with reservoir owners and panel engineers to encourage compliance with the Reservoirs Act.
- Support the team’s adviser by responding to information requests and providing licenses to share our data.
- Manage the Compliance and Monitoring team’s SharePoint pages.
- Some travel and overnight stays may be required as the team is nationally dispersed.
Qualifications / Experience
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Experience of responding to information requests and being a SharePoint Site Owner is desirable
