Reservoir Regulation Team Compliance and Monitoring Officer - 31871
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering operational and regulatory duties for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
- Make risk designations and monitor compliance with on-site flood plan requirements.
- Take a risk-based approach and communicate clearly and consistently with reservoir owners and panel engineers to encourage compliance with the Reservoirs Act.
- Support the team’s advisor with responding to information requests and providing licenses to share data.
- Manage the Compliance and Monitoring team’s SharePoint pages.
- Travel and overnight stays may be required as the team is nationally dispersed.
Experience / Skills Required
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Experience of responding to information requests; being a SharePoint Site Owner is desirable

This is a national role and you can be based at any Environment Agency office. Hybrid working is an option. Interviews will take place remotely on Microsoft Teams week commencing 20 October 2025.
