Overview

Reward Manager – Systems and Analytics (12-month FTC) at EY. Location: Luton, Reading, London or Birmingham (Hybrid – 1–2 office days per week). Level 3 – Assistant Director (Manager).

Role focuses on HR systems and compensation processes, responsible for planning, implementing, administering, and maintaining EY’s current compensation system (Payscale) and related technologies (Benify for compensation statements). The role will also lead analytics and reporting for compensation-related activity and support potential transition to the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module.

Responsibilities

  • Pay Review, Compensation & team administration
  • Manage all aspects of Payscale for Annual and Mid-Year pay reviews in collaboration with the project manager
  • Identify system requirements with internal stakeholders and third-party provider; create workflows and process improvements to maximise system efficiency
  • Collaborate with IT suppliers to prioritise changes, define requirements, and rigorously test changes throughout the lifecycle
  • Create and maintain comprehensive systems documentation, user guides and standard operating procedures
  • Lead change management initiatives related to the compensation system, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption
  • Manage relationships with system vendors to ensure service delivery meets EY standards
  • Maintain and develop internally focused excel-based reward tools
  • Analyse internal and external data to identify market trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Deliver ad-hoc modelling for compensation processes (annual review, structure refresh, job architecture, global initiatives)
  • Role supported by a Reward analyst
  • Data Governance, Business Intelligence/Analytics
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security
  • Leverage data analytics for strategic decision making and provide insights to key stakeholders
  • Design, implement, and administer reward dashboards
  • Develop and deliver end-user training on system usage
  • Provide compensation perspectives on talent-related challenges through in-depth research and analysis of employee and market data
  • Relationship Management
  • Build strong, trusted relationships internally (Talent, Operations, business) and externally with vendors such as Payscale and Benify
  • Act as a key point of contact for system-related queries and resolution
  • Support project delivery and governance of compensation system projects, mitigate risks and ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Collaborate across teams to promote open communication, shared ownership, and delivery excellence

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Proven experience implementing or managing a compensation platform (essential)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics and tools (advanced in Excel and Power BI)
  • Ability to manage uncertainty and shifting priorities
  • Experience supporting complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management with business and Talent leaders to facilitate compensation discussions
  • Energetic and self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced setting; capable of building and leading agile teams
  • Willing to work remotely with touch days 1–2 times a week in Birmingham or London office
  • Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience with PayScale and/or SAP SuccessFactors compensation module; ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience modelling tools and delivering analytics to support strategic decisions
  • Proven HR systems management experience with a deep understanding of HR processes and Reward
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyse data with strong communication and relationship-building skills
