The Role
We are seeking a customer-focused UK Sales Director to lead and grow the UK sales function. You will be responsible for driving revenue, expanding the customer base, and developing a high-performing sales team. This is a home-based role with regular visits to the England office, and it offers significant career progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the UK sales strategy to achieve ambitious growth and revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team with a proven track record of success.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across multiple manufacturing sectors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Drive sales of software and automation solutions, ensuring measurable value for clients.
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasts, CRM records, and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to guide strategy.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client success and smooth project delivery.
- Manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the UK sales team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of UK revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Expansion and retention of key accounts across multiple manufacturing sectors.
- Sales team performance, development, and engagement.
- Accuracy of CRM data and forecasting.
- Successful execution of strategic sales initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven B2B sales leadership experience, ideally in software/SaaS or automation solutions.
- Experience selling to multiple manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of leading, growing, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong customer focus with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Corporate experience with large automation manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Emerson, Honeywell, Eaton, GE, ABB) is advantageous.
- Skilled in strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation.
- Results-driven with a proven record of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
- Comfortable with a hybrid working model: home-based with a couple of days per week in the England office and UK travel as required.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
