Overview

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on driving high-value sales growth within the utilities sector in the UK. You will lead complex negotiations, engage key accounts at multiple stakeholder levels, and shape strategies that build long-term customer partnerships. The role requires a consultative approach, combining strong business acumen with a deep understanding of energy transition challenges and utility operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, develop account strategies, and manage the full deal lifecycle to deliver measurable business value. This is a high-visibility position that offers the opportunity to influence revenue growth and strengthen market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive lead generation and develop opportunities within your assigned territory through creative and strategic engagement
  • Build and maintain trusted, multi-level relationships with customer stakeholders, from operational teams to senior executives
  • Create and execute winning account strategies using frameworks such as Value Selling, ensuring long-term partnerships and recurring revenue
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including deal structuring, negotiation, and accurate forecasting, with a strong focus on linearity
  • Present compelling, value-driven solutions aligned with customer needs and ROI expectations
  • Collaborate with partners, alliances, and internal teams to accelerate sales cycles and scale business impact
  • Monitor competitive activity and share market intelligence across the organization
  • Work with marketing and business development to increase brand visibility and pipeline generation
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining strong governance of the deal process
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience closing enterprise software, SaaS, or PaaS deals
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving new business
  • Strong network of executive-level relationships in the UK utilities market
  • Deep understanding of enterprise solutions sales and T&D electricity network operations
  • Experience managing large, complex accounts for global software organizations
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, credible and persuasive at senior levels
  • Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills with attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English (additional languages a plus)
