Base pay range

We are looking for a Remote Sales / Estimating Manager to join a structural steel company based in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their estimating career within a supportive and growing team

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per year (plus company car)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, flexible working)

Location: Remote

Duties:

• Leading, managing, and developing the Estimating and Sales team
• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accuracy and constructability
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and confirm material lead times
• Personally executing and converting a minimum of 3 enquiries per week, supporting the team in achieving targets
• Preparing and presenting reports on project pipeline and enquiry status to senior management
• Attending pre-tender interviews and post-tender presentations with clients and consultants
• Developing and maintaining strong client and consultant relationships

Requirements:

• BSc/HNC in Building Studies or similar
• Experience in estimating projects ranging from 50–3,000 tonnes
• Knowledge of building construction and structural steelwork
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness
• Previous experience managing or leading a team
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software
• Self-motivated with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

• 33 days’ holiday per year (including bank holidays and 13 fixed days over Christmas)
