Software Engineer (Salesforce-Focused)

Location: Hybrid (Central London office 1–2 days/week)

Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience)

The team operates with a start-up mindset, hosted in Covent Garden by a larger parent company, combining agility with strong infrastructure support.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to the development team, focusing on Salesforce while working across the full technology stack. You’ll collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, fellow developers, and the Customer Service & Product Executive, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

Your work will directly support the delivery of match funding campaigns and the evolution of the organisation’s technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable microservices supporting over 100,000 donations and £65+ million annually.
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Salesforce platform, which supports core business processes such as charity campaign applications.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s tech strategy and product roadmap.
  • Improve code quality through testing, design patterns, and documentation.
  • Plan, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
  • Provide occasional IT support to the wider team.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience (2+ years):

  • Salesforce backend & admin: Apex, SOQL, data modelling, declarative processes
  • Salesforce frontend: Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Infrastructure & load testing: Docker, CI, Terraform, AWS, MySQL, Node.js, Artillery
  • Automated testing: Webdriver.io, BDD
  • PHP: Slim or Symfony frameworks
  • Web frontend: Angular, TypeScript, SCSS, Web Components
