Role: SAP Procurement Consultant
Location: Remote – occasional on-site meetings across the UK
Rate: £491 PAYE or £652.51 via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 months initial
Clearance: Current SC clearance preferred, or eligibility to obtain SC clearance (must be a UK national with no dual citizenship and have resided in the UK continuously for the past 5 years).
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management (WM / eWM) Consultant to act as the functional product and system expert for SAP Warehouse Management. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and logistics teams to gather, analyse, and deliver business requirements for the configuration and support of SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management systems.
This role involves not only expertise in WM / eWM but also a willingness to engage with other SAP Logistics functionalities as required. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring solutions align with business needs, supporting implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to gather and analyse business requirements for SAP Procurement / Warehouse Management (WM / eWM).
- Document and validate business processes (AS-IS and TO-BE), ensuring alignment with client needs.
- Configure and customise SAP modules to translate business requirements into functional specifications, including initial settings, security parameters, and reporting options.
- Identify required modifications, recommend solutions, and implement changes where appropriate.
- Provide functional support and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
- Deliver end-user training and mentor junior team members.
- Support testing activities by creating and executing relevant test scenarios.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SAP Warehouse Management (WM / eWM) within business solutions, analysis, or consulting.
- Knowledge of additional SAP modules aligned to eWM / WM.
- Proven experience in supporting business process changes and improvement initiatives.
- Ideally SAP certified, or willing to achieve certification.
- Degree or equivalent professional experience.
Work Environment
- Primarily remote working with occasional on-site client meetings across the UK.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or bank holidays if required
