SC Cleared - Senior IT (Data Centre Break/Fix) Engineer - (London Area) Working Hours 7.5‑hour working day between 07:00 - 19:00 (flexible within this window) About the Role You’ll be part of our Ring Fenced Team (RFT), a group of 15 engineers supporting the London area. The team provides cover for sickness, holidays, resource‑on‑demand requests, and project work across multiple customer accounts‑including government and banking sectors. Due to the nature of these clients, Security Clearance (SC) will be required. Key Responsibilities

Provide intermediate to advanced desktop support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and break/fix services. Deliver basic Wintel server support including installation, configuration, administration, and hardware repairs. Support a variety of hardware and software platforms, accredited through vendor training (e.g., HP, Dell, Lenovo). Occasionally drive a customer‑supplied vehicle to satellite sites – clean driving license required. Nationality restrictions may apply.

Technical Skills & Experience Desktop & Mobile Support

Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop support (HP, Dell, Lenovo) macOS support (MacBook and desktop) Office 365 and Microsoft Teams Apple and Android mobile devices Wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics Walk‑up Tech Bar and floor‑walking support

System Administration

OS navigation, desktop shortcuts, printer setup, and network mapping Laptop/desktop build and configuration using scripted processes Moves, changes, and workstation setups

Server & Data Centre

Experience with HP ProLiant (Gen8‑Gen10), Dell servers, Lenovo blades Backup systems, tape libraries, storage configuration, and hardware support Cisco hardware knowledge

Additional Requirements

Security Clearance (SC) is mandatory. Must have hands‑on experience with server break/fix in a data centre environment. Willingness to travel and drive as needed.
