Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey, providing motor finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the UK. We are currently looking for an Analytics and Oversight Manager to join our Retail Risk Department on a hybrid basis (minimum days in the office).

Reporting to the Head of Retail Risk and leading your own team, you will manage and understand movements in the Credit market, oversee Credit Risk quality monitoring, and ensure systems align with SCUK’s policies.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining an integrated programme to identify, assess, manage, and report Credit risk and controls, supporting strategic objectives within risk appetite constraints, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  2. Developing people’s potential, providing effective feedback, coaching, and managing team performance.
  3. Leading, motivating, and developing teams to perform effectively and foster a culture of development and excellence.
  4. Managing credit portfolios to operate within agreed risk appetites, ensuring objectives are met.
  5. Developing customer relationships, managing new business opportunities, and exceeding customer expectations.
  6. Optimising the Credit risk reward, tracking changes, and advising stakeholders of potential impacts, proposing actions to mitigate risks.
  7. Embedding a credit risk culture throughout the business, ensuring legal, operational, reputational, and compliance obligations are met.
  8. Managing internal stakeholder relationships to promote understanding of credit risk and educate on its implications.
  9. Building external relationships with regulators such as PRA & FCA for effective operation and industry guidance.
