Senior Security Engineer – Application Security / DevSecOps

A high-growth FinTech is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to help build secure, scalable, user‑centric financial products. Security is a core part of the platform — not an add‑on — and you’ll play a leading role in engineering security into every stage of the SDLC.

You’ll design, automate, and deliver security capabilities that enable developers to ship secure software quickly and confidently. This is a hands‑on role focused on secure software engineering, AppSec, automation, and DevSecOps.

What You’ll Do

• Embed security into the end‑to‑end SDLC (design → build → deploy → production).
• Integrate and automate security tooling across CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead threat modelling, architecture reviews, and secure design decisions.
• Build internal tools, libraries, and guardrails that support secure‑by‑default development.
• Mentor engineers and uplift security engineering capability across teams.
• Partner with product, platform, and engineering teams to solve real‑world security challenges.
• 5+ years in Security Engineering, Application Security, or Product Security.
• Strong software engineering skills: Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience securing modern web, mobile, and API architectures at scale.
• Hands‑on exposure to SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA and automated security workflows.
• Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, ASVS, MASVS, secure design patterns.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, WebAuthn, and authentication/identity flows.
• Security engineering experience in FinTech, payments, or regulated environments.
• Delivered secure coding training or scaled developer‑focused security programmes.
• Familiarity with PCI‑DSS, PSD2, SCA, or other financial compliance frameworks.
