English, Maths, and Science Home Tutors

TeacherActive is currently recruiting tutors to support the learning and development of children requiring home tutoring. We are committed to closing the attainment gap for children outside of formal schooling.

We work with children's services to enable Looked After Children to make progress in line with their non-looked after peers.

Our work involves supporting a diverse range of Looked After Children in care who have various needs. Tutors provide learning assistance for young people preparing for exams or re-adjusting to mainstream education.

We are seeking tutors for both home tuition and school-based support, with a primary focus on delivering core skills in English, Maths, Science, and behaviour management.

Skills and Experience:

• Teachers for all subjects required, especially English and Maths
• Understanding and appreciation of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN
• Knowledge and experience in positive behaviour strategies and helping children self-regulate emotions
• Valid Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent written communication and reporting skills
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping
