As Senior Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients and driving their growth. You will also play a supporting role in selling Stratton Craig to new clients. The ultimate aim of the role is to ensure we retain clients and increase their spend to contribute to an overall increase in company revenue.
Job Accountabilities
Client servicing:
- Leading the day-to-day management of your client portfolio, ensuring we deliver quality content on time and on budget.
- This will include running briefing meetings; producing quotes, proposals and project plans; briefing writers; reviewing content; and managing amends
- Identifying and managing account and project problems independently and providing effective solutions
Commercials:
- Managing client budget spend and maintaining clear and consistent reporting of time, output, billing and budget forecasts in order to accurately plan and efficiently manage resources
- Supporting our Finance team with efficient and accurate month-end reporting for your projects
- Identifying project commercial risks and working with our SMT to mitigate them
- Understanding our clients’ businesses, the industries they operate in, and trends in best practice corporate communications
- Proactively sharing ideas with clients, cross-selling and upselling our services in order to increase average project spend and overall client revenue and build deep, long-term strategic partnerships with our clients
- Working closely with our Client Services Director to successfully identify new business opportunities from your existing clients, writing client proposals and effectively presenting Stratton Craig’s offer to clients
Growth:
- Supporting our Growth manager in selling Stratton Craig’s services to new clients by sharing examples of work, providing detail on our ways of working and matching the perfect writer to their requirement
- Contributing to Sales and Marketing ideation sessions by sharing insights and learnings from your client conversations, and participating in events/contributing to content we publish
Performance measurements

Essential Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agency role, ideally involving corporate marketing and comms
- Proven content review / quality checking experience
- Capable user of Microsoft Office
- Exceptional written communication skills, including flawless spelling and grammar
- Project management
- Relationship/stakeholder management
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Strong academic background – particularly in English and other written subjects
- Experience liaising with senior stakeholders including C-Suite
- Pitching / Sales experience

We work with global clients who can require calls and meetings out of hours – flexibility is required as well as some travel and overnight stays (typically within the UK).
